Marvel have released a new Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 TV spot, this one focusing on the mind and temperament of Baby Groot. The tree toddler has been a fan favorite ever since the credits rolled on the Guardians’ first outing, and Marvel have capitalized on that in the marketing for the sequel. CD Projekt Red announced that GWENT: The Witcher Card Game will finally be coming to mobile devices, with a release date later this year for the iOS version. GWENT is a popular offshoot of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where it first appeared as a collectible card game with such addictive properties it would later become a running joke in expansions. Gotham has finally unleashed Shane West’s incarnation of Bane and is taking heavy inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Introduced as Eduardo Dorrance, Gotham’s Bane initially had very little in common with the classic Batman villain and altered Dorrance’s backstory in a way that made him a former military colleague of Jim Gordon’s. Unmasked and seemingly on Gordon’s side, the ex-soldiers worked side-by-side in pursuit of the Riddler, before it was ultimately revealed that Dorrance had been playing Jim all along and had his own, significantly more sinister, agenda in mind....

GT Advanced Technology has given an update on the status of its contract to supply Apple with sapphire displays for the upcoming iPhone 6 displays. According to the information provided with the company’s Q1 2014 financial report, Apple has already made three of four payments to GT Advanced for the sapphire, and GT notes that so far it is on track to meet demand. Apple struck a deal with GTA last year to manufacture the sapphire displays that are expected to appear in the next-generation iPhone at a new plant in Mesa, Arizona....

A set of new apps will be used in Gucci and Saint Laurent stores through a new Apple partnership … Reuters reports the development. Apple of course uses iOS devices as mobile tills in its own retail stores, and a partnership with IBM is generating a significant number of apps for enterprise and retail chains. The initial Reuters report had no details, but now says that the apps will be ‘for use by sales assistants to scan inventories....

Apple earlier today unveiled a major redesign for the Music app as part of iOS 10. We reported earlier this year on many of the changes, but now we’ve had the chance to get our hands on the redesign in all of its glory. The Music app in iOS 10 brings a host of changes, many of them visual, but also a few new features as well. The first thing you’ll notice when you open the new Music app is that you’re taken immediately to the “Library” tab of the app, which shows a breakdown of all the music you’ve most recently added and options to view either by playlist, artist, album, song, or downloaded....

Facebook announced its new dating service at F8 earlier this year. Codenamed “Gemstone”, the project is supposed to be a competitor to other dating services such as Tinder and Match, with one major advantage: it’s going to be a feature inside the main Facebook app. While the app is still in beta, and meant for Facebook developers only, we were able to gain exclusive screenshots of its onboarding process on iOS....

Despite being bought out by Google, the replacement mail app Sparrow has now been updated for iOS 7. Whilst the developers behind Sparrow never said that work on the app had ceased, this was the implied meaning of Sparrow’s thank you letter still visible on the Sparrow website. Until today, the app had not been updated since December 2012, nearly a year ago. This update brings compatibility bug fixes for iOS 7 as well as a new flatter icon, shown above....
