After confirmation came just a few weeks ago, Google Stadia is now fully playable on iOS devices including the iPhone and iPad, courtesy of a Safari web app or Progressive Web App. [Update]: Some are noting that iOS play appears to be slightly “broken” when they try to access via their own devices. Republican Senator Josh Hawley has introduced new legislation that would prohibit tech companies like Apple from storing user data in China. This new legislation comes after Apple was required to move some iCloud data to government-owned servers in China last year. As reported by Axios, the goal of this restriction is to prevent Chinese companies from collecting more information on American users than necessary to provide service. Companies like Apple storing data in China represent a “threat to America’s national security,” Senator Hawley said....

A database containing login information for nearly 7 million users of the private cloud storage provider Dropbox has been accessed by hackers, according to a partial dump posted on Pastebin earlier this evening (via The Next Web). Update: Rep. Ted Lieu has now written to the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform requesting a formal investigation into the vulnerability. After rolling out the update to Android devices last week, Google today updated its Google Wallet app for iOS with the ability to scan physical loyalty cards. Rather than having to type out your account information to join a new program within the app, scanning a physical loyalty card from a supported retailer will auto-populate your info and automate the process. The updated app also now includes new notifications for nearby retailers related to loyalty programs you’ve joined....
