With the launch of the new Gmail earlier this year, many questioned the future of Inbox, the company’s experimental email client. Today, Google announced that Inbox by Gmail will be discontinued next year. According to Fast Company, Inbox will shut down by March 2019. In the aftermath of GT Advanced filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the sapphire maker reached a $439 million settlement with Apple in which the supplier will repay the iPhone maker up to $290,000 per furnace sold. GT Advanced creditors aren’t happy with the proposed settlement, however, arguing that the sapphire company may have received too little in the deal. The cybersecurity company said it discovered the effort in October, finding hackers taking over prominent accounts and demanding a ransom. The people behind the attack start by sending a message pretending to be Instagram, notifying Instagram users of a purported instance of copyright infringement.
